Solar Wind

Solar Wind - Rapidly moving charged particles that flow outward from holes in the Sun's corona

The smooth disk centered in this image hides the bright visible light of the Sun, the location of which is indicated by the white circle. By blocking the glare, the solar wind can be easily seen in this SOHO telescope image streaming radially from the Sun.
