Robinson Observatory
Robinson Observatory
The Robinson Observatory is located on the UCF Campus. Students service the greater Orlando area by hosting public observing nights. On alternating weeks, on either a Wednesday or a Thursday night (see the Open House Schedule link), the public is invited to enjoy viewing celestial objects through our portable 8- and 14-inch Meade (models LX90 and LX200) telescopes or our 20” RC research-grade telescope. We invite you to check out the Robinson Observatory Clear Sky Clock (see link above) to determine if the weather will permit public observing on these nights. In general, if the weather is overcast, very cloudy, or rainy, the observatory is not likely to be open.
All students in my Astronomy courses should seek the links above for more information on the days/times, weather, etc. the observatory is open for viewing.
