About Me
About Me
In a typical week, I teach Astronomy, life in the Universe, Space Weather, and/or Astrophysics; meet with undergraduate students about their research projects; write journal articles or conference proceedings on our research; plan which observations need to be observed from space and/or ground; plan and run the simulations; do the research; participate in conference calls on science; and work on material for any of the three astronomy textbooks I’m involved with and its ancillary material.
In a typical semester, I’ll attend and participate in one or more workshops or conferences associated with my research, women in physics, teaching, and/or a topic associated with the textbooks. I typically also review textbooks and one or more science papers for a refereed journal. I might also sit on or chair a review panel for AAS, NASA, NSF, for example.
