I can receive email both at klemm@physics.ucf.edu (preferred) and at rklemm@mail.ucf.edu, and I can send a reply from both. You may also send me a question on WebAssign
APIWATE: " A picture is worth a thousand equations"
I urge you all to register for WebAssign asap, and to start on the first problem set.
If you have questions about any of the problems, email them to me, or ask them on WebAssign itself. The initial login procedure is
Go to the login page, and click on the phase ``I have a class key''
Then, enter the class key: ucf 9566 6924
After you logon, enter your purchased WebAssign code (or buy one with a credit card),
and set up your userid and password
Remember to bring your I-clicker to class every day, starting Thursday, August 26. Also, the first WebAssign problem set has been posted, so start on that asap. See the hints below.

There will be one more review session on Monday, December 6 at 7:30PM in MAP 318. Print out and READ my solutions to the two midterm solutions. Do not ignore the hint.
For the final exam on December 9 from 7:00AM-9:50 AM in MAP359 (the usual lecture room), BRING A PINK SCANTRON SHEET WITH THE UCF LOGO ON IT, PENCILS AND ERASERS OR PENS (especially pencils and erasers!!!).
DO NOT BRING ANY CELLPHONES, ELECTRONIC CALCULATORS, OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC GIZMOS.
Note: If you forget to bring a SCANtron sheet, you may purchase one from the instructor for $10.00 cash. This will go to the Physics Department to compensate for the refusal of some of you to reimburse the department for your improper use of the scantron forms on the second midterm exam. No scantron and no cash: zero on the exam.
Final exam raw SCANtron scores. Mean: 27.2, median: 28.
Tentative grades of final exam: 12: D-, 14-20: D, 21-26: C, 27: C+, 28: B-, 29-30: B, 31: B+, 32:A-, 33-42: A.
Total course scores (TCSs) are computed by dividing the three exams by the median scores and setting those values equal to 50% of the percentage alloted to each exam. Thus, TCS=(mt1/41)*8.5+(mt2/32)*8.5+(final/28)*13+(homework/322.62)*17+(Iclicker/18)*8+(lab score/100)*15.
The grades are now posted, and you may access your grades on myUCFgrades.
Course grades: 27-28: D-, 30-40: D, 41: C-, 42-55: C, 56: C+, 57: B-, 58-64: B, 65: B+, 66: A-, 68-83: A
