Deron Walters is a Professor from Columbus, Ohio. Before coming to UCF, he worked in research of carbon nanotubes with Nobel Prize-Winner Dr. Richard Smalley. Dr. Walters continues his work here, especially in the optical properties of nanotubes and in biomolecules, such as protiens. Another large project of Walters is the rennovating of his new home. Dr. Walters says that Orlando is an "upbeat city." His favorite historical scientist is Richard Feynman.
