What have we learned from indirect detection?

The 68 Doppler detections have:
Msini			0.17 - 17 MJ
semimajor axis		0.038 - 3.73 AU
eccentricity		0.00 - 0.93

They include:
multi-planet systems
close-in giant planets
2:1 resonant systems (e.g., Gliese 876)

Only 5% of non-close planets are in circular orbits

  In other words, the Solar System may be rare among planetary systems!

  But WATCH OUT for those observational biases.
