HelioxVL - Sample in vacuum ³He refrigerator

HelioxVL - Sample in vacuum ³He refrigerator The HelioxVL ³He refrigerator can be used in a liquid helium storage dewar, integrated within an Oxford Instruments Superconductivity magnet system. Easier to operate than conventional ³He systems it can fit into a wide range of cryogenic systems since it has an outer diameter of less than 50 mm. Furthermore, as the insert is so small it takes no time to warm to room temperature when changing samples, meaning turnaround time is no longer than that of a top loading system.

Product information

· Improved efficiency – Advanced sorption pump technology gives increased ³He pumping speed, resulting in lower base temperature and enhanced cooling power.

· In-built cryopump technology – traps contaminants, so no blockages occur during operation.

· Compact design – self contained dump and ³He pumping system reduce footprint, meaning less laboratory space is required.

· Low intrinsic vibration – The combination of the cryogenic pump and the 1 K coil type of condenser provides an excellent environment for vibration-sensitive techniques.

· Ease of use – designed to fit in liquid helium storage vessels or dewars with neck diameter of =52 mm and easily adapted for larger neck diameters. Key features, such as a greased cone sealing for the IVC or the integrated ³He dump mean the system is easy to use, even by less skilled end-users.

· Fast sample evaluation – the integrated sliding seal allows the system to be used in a standard Helium transport dewar and is particularly suitable for fast sample characterisation.
